The Family Council Action Committee is devoted to keeping gambling out of Arkansas. We are currently working with Friends of Fort Smith and similar organizations and individuals to prevent wealthy casino-owners from taking advantage of Arkansans.
Evidence presented by reputable economists shows that, contrary to popular belief, casinos do not help the economy of a community, but hurt it. Many people will testify that casinos attract sexually-oriented businesses, are strongly associated with gambling addictions, and prey on the hopes and finances of the poor.
If Arkansans truly wish to love their neighbors, they must stand up against gambling. Otherwise, it may very well tear our state apart.
